Job summary

HPM, based in Mesa, Arizona, seeks a Project Controls Cost Specialist to join the Project Controls team. The role focuses on forecasting, cost management, budget analysis, EV tracking, risk management, proposals, cash flow and reporting tools.

Up to 10% travel may be required. Key responsibilities include developing weekly/monthly reports, supporting variance analysis with MS Project, Primavera, and Excel, drafting client reports, and presenting findings to management.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of project cost controls or related project management in large facilities.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management.
• Analytical skills for estimate, risk, and cost benchmarking.

Responsibilities

• Produce weekly and monthly project cost reports.
• Support claims and variance analysis with MS Project, Primavera, Excel.
• Draft client reports based on cost and schedule data.
• Present findings to client management.
• Develop WBS and CBS structures.
• Manage cost, budget, forecast, and KPIs across sites.
• Review invoices vs contracts.
• Support project controls during planning and execution.
