Adecco US, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead accounting and financial operations for a growing project-based service organization in the United States.

The role partners with executive leadership to deliver financial insight, maintain controls, and support sound business decisions. The ideal candidate will balance strategic oversight with day-to-day accounting, thrive in a small to mid-size environment, and supervise a small team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Business/Economics or related field.
• 5+ years as Controller or senior accounting leader.
• Strong understanding of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.
• Demonstrated leadership supervising accounting/finance staff.
• Experience in a small to mid-size organization with hands-on accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, reporting).
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records and processes.
• Analyze performance and communicate trends, risks, and opportunities to leadership.
• Manage project accounting, WIP reporting, and revenue recognition.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning; cash management.
• Develop internal controls and support audits with external auditors.
• Lead and mentor a small accounting team; conduct reviews.
