Job summary

Adecco Permanent Recruitment is representing a growing organization seeking an experienced Controller to join the leadership team on a direct-hire basis. You will oversee financial reporting, budgeting processes, and provide senior leadership with visibility to scale the business.

This hands-on accounting and finance leader will design strong internal controls, drive month-end close, and mentor the accounting team while partnering with the CEO on strategic forecasting and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 10+ years in professional accounting & finance (audit background a plus).
• Experience with GAAP accounting, treasury operations, banking workflows, and financial analysis.
• Familiarity with tax compliance requirements at the national and local level.
• A track record of improving and streamlining accounting operations.
• Strong project management skills applied to finance initiatives.
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Build clear, data-driven financial reports for leadership.
• Apply company policy to sound financial decisions given current market conditions.
• Design and maintain financial controls that keep the organization on solid footing.
• Drive budget performance through disciplined planning, analysis, and course-correction.
• Contribute to near-term and long-range operational planning.
• Safeguard company funds by maintaining strong controls over revenue, costs, and departmental budgets vs. actuals.
• Partner with the CEO to set financial benchmarks and establish biweekly, monthly, and annual reporting rhythms.
• Standardize accounting policies and procedures across the organization, staying current on relevant tax law at every jurisdictional level.
• Build and enforce internal controls that protect company assets and strengthen operational workflows.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and productivity.
• Own the month-end close and consolidation across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and speed.
• Direct all treasury functions — cash forecasting, banking relationships, and account oversight.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
