Job summary

DynaTen Corporation in the Dallas/Fort Worth area seeks a Project Accounting Manager to lead the project accounting function, oversee job-costing, forecasting, and billing, and partner with project managers and operations leadership to improve financial accuracy and accountability.

You will drive monthly closes, revenue recognition processes, and internal controls improvements while mentoring a team of project accountants in a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
• At least 7 years of progressive accounting, including 5+ years in construction or project accounting and 2+ years of supervision.
• Strong knowledge of construction job costing, forecasting, WIP, revenue recognition, retainage, subcontract accounting, cost-code structures, and billing.
• Advanced Excel; proficient with ERP systems and reporting/document-management tools.
• Ability to review project financial statements, identify variances, and communicate with operational leaders.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, judgment, data accuracy, and deadline-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Project Accountants; manage hiring, onboarding, training, evaluations, and succession.
• Oversee project setup, budgets, cost codes, billing requirements, and financial structures in company systems.
• Ensure accurate recording of labor, equipment, material, subcontract costs; investigate variances.
