Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our Sterling, VA team on-site. You will manage project costing, billing, and financial analysis for large-scale projects, partnering with Project Managers to ensure accuracy and profitability across the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in project accounting within construction or project-based environments, with strong Excel skills and a focus on timely, accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience preferred.
• 3+ years of project accounting experience.
• Experience with lump sum billing and cost-plus/GMP billing in a construction or project-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all phases of project job costing, including tracking, recording, and analyzing project costs.
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly customer billings in accordance with contract requirements.
• Monitor project budgets, commitments, and profitability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Partner with Project Managers to provide financial reporting and project status updates.
• Maintain accurate project financial information within the company's project accounting system.
• Support month-end reporting and other ad hoc financial analyses as needed.
