Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant in Sterling, VA. The hybrid role starts on-site with flexibility for 1 day remote after training, supporting multiple projects with billing, job costing, and financial reporting.

The position requires 3+ years on project accounting, experience with lump sum, cost-plus and GMP billing, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project accounting experience.
• Experience billing using lump sum, cost-plus and GMP.
• Familiarity with project documentation and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly project billings per contract (lump sum, cost-plus, GMP).
• Monitor costs vs budgets; perform reconciliations and profitability analysis.
• Maintain job costing records and prepare status, budget and performance reports.
• Ensure vendor documentation and insurance compliance are up to date.
• Identify and resolve project accounting discrepancies promptly.
