Job summary

Addison Group in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Project Accountant to join our construction industry client. You will prepare and maintain project cost reports, track budgets, labor, equipment, materials, and process billings.

This role offers growth under supportive leadership, monthly close assistance, and exposure to project financial performance, including cost-to-complete and margin analysis.

Qualifications

• Experience in the construction industry with strong knowledge of WIP reporting and job costing.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel experience including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain project cost reports, tracking budgets, committed costs, labor, equipment, materials, and job cost adjustments.
• Partner with Project Managers to manage budgets, forecasts, change orders, and project financial performance including cost-to-complete and margin analysis.
• Process and reconcile project billings (T&M, progress, SOV), resolve billing inquiries, support collections, and monitor accounts receivable.
• Review vendor invoices, subcontractor pay applications, lien waivers, and compliance documentation while supporting project setup and contract administration.
• Assist with month-end close, ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies, and maintain organized project financial records.
