Job summary

The Colorado Energy Office (CEO) seeks a Program Manager - Codes & Standards to guide building code deployment for new construction and major retrofits under building decarbonization initiatives. You will manage contracts with vendors and grantees, engage with public and private stakeholders, and report on goals and budgets.

You will lead design and delivery across building energy code programs, oversee federal awards, and contribute to statewide decarbonization strategies, including HB 22-1362

Qualifications

• Three years of professional experience, or a bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of professional experience.
• Knowledge about energy and/or building energy issues in Colorado strongly preferred.
• Background in grant management, administration, policy or reporting.
• Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills.
• Highly motivated and detail oriented.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal, listening, and diplomacy skills to build positive relationships.
• Demonstrates a high level of initiative and strong work ethic.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite and Google suite.
• Demonstrated interest in the mission of the Colorado Energy Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead management and administration of Energy Code Adoption & Enforcement Grant Program.
• Coordinate federal funding awards program design, implementation, and reporting.
• Assist with development of updated building energy codes.
• Assist with development and implementation of Building Decarbonization Enterprise Fund programs.
• Assist with development and implementation of federally-funded pilot programs for building decarbonization.
