Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) seeks an intern to support the Navy’s Strategic Systems Programs within the SDG. The 10-week, 40-hour program runs May 2027 through July/August 2027, with possible remote work ~10 hours/week during the school year.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Active enrollment in an accredited undergrad or grad program in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Public Policy, SCM, or related field.
• Must have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate experience.
• Must be able to work on-site full-time, 5 days per week, at a government facility in the Washington Navy Yard and travel as required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly, prioritize tasks, and perform in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the budget and contracting section of the missile branch with critical program efforts.
• Fulfill programmatic and administrative tasking set by a government mentor in support of the branch’s rhythms.
• Organize and attend meetings related to the branch’s technical and administrative function.
• Draft, review, and/or edit documentation.
• Complete a summer project.
• Attend weekly SPA informational roundtables and leadership lunches.
