Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) seeks an undergraduate or graduate intern to support Navy SSP at the Washington Navy Yard. The 10-week program runs May 2027 through July/August 2027 with on-site duties and potential remote work of ~10 hours/week during the school year.

Interns will perform technical research, draft and edit documents, organize branch meetings, and complete a summer project. Housing and transportation are the intern's responsibility; DoD clearance is required or

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain DoD clearance.
• Active enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or post-graduate program in engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, or related technical/policy fields.
• Must have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate experience.
• On-site full-time work at Washington Navy Yard five days per week; multi-day domestic travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill government mentor tasks for the SSP branch.
• Organize and attend branch meetings.
• Perform technical research and draft/edit documents.
• Complete a summer project and participate in SPA roundtables.
