Job summary

Draper, a nonprofit research and development organization in Cambridge, MA, seeks a Program Security Manager to lead program security activities and align them with business objectives. You will coordinate with Programs, Engineering, and Business Development to ensure security is integrated from capture through execution.

The role requires DoD/industrial security experience, ability to interpret regulations, and direct management of security classifications.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the NISPOM and other industrial security standards.
• Knowledge of general physical, information and classification management systems in DoD environments.
• Able to be a strategic thinker applying government guidelines.
• Possess business development and project management skills.
• Contract management abilities including review and generation of security documentation (DD 254).
• Knowledgeable in program management.
• Able to tailor a security program to support business needs and create security infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Act as the single point of contact for all program office security activities.
• Coordinate security, business development and program management relations to meet objectives.
• Ensure security is a key element in all program office decisions.
• Integrate security into the program management team from initiation to execution.
• Oversee compliance with regulations and interpretation of policies across stakeholders.
• Direct studies and oversee implementation of federal security regulations for classified programs.
• Coordinate with government agencies for rulings and deviations.
• Prepare manuals outlining regulations and procedures for handling and recording activities.
• Administer program Security Classification Guides and training for employees.
• Review contractual documentation and implement compliant processes and plans.
