Job summary

State of Washington is seeking a Program Manager to lead the WA Cares Fund systems efforts, partnering with agency executives and business partners. You will own the results, define requirements, and drive strategic direction for assessment, eligibility and service planning technology.

You will serve as the division’s GetCare tool SME, coordinate with multiple agencies, and develop policies while ensuring timely, within-budget delivery and alignment with statewide service goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, health, social services, or related field and at least five years of long-term care eligibility experience.
• Or a total of nine years’ experience in long-term care eligibility with three years in IT projects or systems.
• Experience building relationships with staff, partners, stakeholders and executive management.
• Ability to use data to create reports and inform decisions.
• Strong coordination skills to align resources and resolve critical issues.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT teams to develop WA Cares Fund components within timelines and budget.
• Serve as the business program manager for WA Cares Fund technology interfaces.
• Act as the product specialist for the GetCare assessment tool.
• Develop and prioritize program requests to meet assessment, eligibility and service planning needs.
• Coordinate WA Cares Fund priorities with internal and external partners.
• Develop policies and procedures for WA Cares Fund staff and providers.
• Lead coordination with HCLA, Health Care Authority, AAA, and Developmental Disabilities Administration.
• Provide SME input on design, implementation and ongoing operations of the benefit application and intake system.
• Ensure program objectives are met and processes enable effective service delivery.
