Job summary

The University of Washington is seeking a Program Financial Specialist within the Finance and Administration team. This full-time temporary role provides high-level financial and operational expertise across budgeting, reporting, payables/receivables, and compliance for University Advancement.

You will design and enhance fiscal systems, analyze trends, and partner with UW offices and auditors to strengthen financial operations and stewardship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in business administration, finance, budget administration, data analysis, or related field.
• Strong analytical and financial reporting skills.
• Ability to interpret policies and apply UW fiscal rules.

Responsibilities

• Oversee budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, and compliance functions.
• Conduct financial analyses and prepare executive‑level reports.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure financial integrity.
• Develop and refine fiscal reporting systems and related training materials.
• Support cross‑functional teams and advise on resource allocation and policy adherence.
