Job summary

Truist is seeking an experienced project leader to oversee multiple initiatives within a business unit. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, ensure adherence to project protocols, and deliver executive summaries on program health.

The role involves ownership of complex portfolios and mentoring junior teammates. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree, 8–10 years in consulting or PM/process improvement, and a proven ability to navigate banking environment dynamics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field or equivalent education
• 8–10 years of experience in consulting, project management or process improvement roles
• Advanced understanding of project management frameworks and ability to lead large initiatives with stringent timelines
• Strong understanding of business and technology alignment, resources, priorities, needs and policies
• Advanced knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma)
• Experience with Waterfall and Agile project management
• Working knowledge of banking/investment platforms, products, services, operations, finance and systems
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication with ability to influence leadership
• Willingness to travel as needed
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to learn and adapt to changing needs

Responsibilities

• Manage intake, planning, business readiness, and execution of assigned initiatives
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives with clear communication and training plans
• Prepare and maintain project artifacts with traceability and knowledge delivery to impacted audiences
• Identify process improvements based on cost/benefit, client impact, and regulatory requirements
• Provide program level dashboards and executive summaries on program health
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and obtain leadership buy‑in for delivery plans
• Serve as an individual contributor with ownership of a complex project portfolio and coach junior teammates
• Foster a cohesive, inclusive team culture aligned with Truist’s purpose and values
