Job summary

Truist is seeking a senior strategic planning advisor to partner with executive leadership across Consumer and Small Business Banking. You will steer the annual strategic planning cycle, craft high‑impact content for the Board and regulators, and lead internal consulting engagements that translate into actionable recommendations and business cases.

Expect influence over investment priorities and enterprise-wide performance alignment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of experience in corporate and/or business strategic planning and development, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Demonstrated proficiency developing business strategies to achieve operational and financial results.
Experience designing, managing, and continually improving complex corporate processes that involve multiple constituencies and are highly integrated with related processes.
Demonstrated ability to independently resolve conflicts or problems that arise as the process is executed.
Extensive knowledge of business and organizational strategies and management objectives.
Ability to lead large highly complex projects of notable risk exposure. Ability to influence others at senior levels to adopt a new perspective.
Knowledge of the industry’s competitive landscape and an understanding of the market and regulatory factors that shape the industry.
Experience leading and motivating teams of professional‑level contributors, either directly or indirectly.
Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Design and manage corporate strategic planning processes and develop business strategies that drive results.
Assess trends, external environment, and competition to identify opportunities and risk for executive evaluation.
Lead internal consulting engagements on complex projects with notable risk.
Develop content for the Executive Leadership and Board on strategic plans and performance updates.
Identify and resolve challenges and establish long-term solutions for continuous improvement.
