Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation seeks a senior program manager to drive multiple large initiatives, leading cross-functional teams and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. You will oversee planning, readiness, and execution, delivering artifacts with traceability and a strong focus on cost-benefit improvements.

The role requires extensive experience in project management, exposure to Waterfall and Agile, and proven ability to influence senior leaders and manage stakeholder expectations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent education.
• 10 years of experience in consulting, project management or process improvement.
• Advanced understanding of project management framework and large-scale initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of deposits, business and technology organizations.
• Advanced understanding of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma).
• Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Working knowledge of banking platforms, products, and operations.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence leadership.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and make decisions under pressure.
• Willingness to learn and adapt; proficiency in MS Office; travel as needed.
• Preferred PMP Certification and related process improvement certifications.

Responsibilities

• Manages intake, planning, business readiness, and execution of initiatives.
• Leads cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives and training plans.
• Prepares and maintains project materials and artifacts with traceability.
• Reviews processes to identify cost/benefit improvements and best practices.
• Maintains relationships with stakeholders and secures leadership buy-in.
• Acts as an individual contributor with ownership of multiple portfolios and mentors others.
