Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Linthicum, MD is seeking a Senior Principal Program Cost Control Analyst for an onsite role with a 9/80 schedule. You will provide financial support, budgets, schedules, and Earned Value management across contracts to ensure cost control and performance.

Responsibilities include funding analysis, forecasts, variance analysis, and supporting audits, IPER dashboards, and program reviews. US citizenship and secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of related professional experience or a master’s degree with 6 years of related professional experience.
• Experience with financial systems including cost performance reporting and analysis.
• Strong PC skills—Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting).
• Ability to travel domestically 10% of the time.
• Current, active US Government secret clearance.
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Interface with program managers to provide financial support and analysis to meet program requirements.
• Prepare budgets and schedules for contract work and assist in funding profiles, sales outlook, cash forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Monitor costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system.
• Perform Earned Value Management tasks (WBS development, budget baseline, estimates to complete).
• Prepare reports to ensure contracts are within negotiated parameters and government guidelines.
• Support audits, Annual Operating Plan, Resource Plan, and Long-Range Strategic Plan activities.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to junior staff.
