Job summary

PowerSecure seeks a Production Scheduler to plan, organize, and maintain the Shop Floor Schedule (SFS) derived from the Master Production Schedule. The role collaborates with Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, and Materials Analysts to balance capacity and ensure on-time shipment to customers.

The incumbent will drive SFS accuracy, manage loading by Work Center, monitor downtime, and communicate proactively with floor supervisors and management to resolve issues before shipments risk missing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of planning experience preferred.
• APICS – CPIM certification is preferred or willing to obtain.
• Individual must be highly-organized, open-minded & motivated self-starter.
• Strong communication skills (verbal & written) required.
• Hands-on approach to monitoring production versus the SFS.
• Ability to report findings and KPI’s to Production Control Manager.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Shop Floor Schedule (SFS) with the goal of 90%+ on-time shipment to OCP.
• Drive high accuracy into the SFS for a rolling 4-week period.
• Develop an SFS based on MPS, material availability, labor capacity, and priority.
• Maintain view of plant demand/loading by Work Center in LFS/IFS context.
• Monitor workflow to ensure on-time delivery while reducing downtime and changeovers.
• Communicate with Work Center leads and Manufacturing Engineering to align routings with time estimates.
• Develop processes to utilize current IFS functionality to improve scheduling accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide required paperwork to complete scheduled work (Kitting).
• Identify and deliver revisions to Bill of Materials impacting manufacturing.
• Proactively communicate to adjust schedules for on-time performance.
