Job summary

PowerSecure is seeking a Production Scheduler to plan, organize, and maintain the Shop Floor Schedule (SFS) ensuring on-time shipments and efficient plant loading. You will collaborate with Master Scheduler, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, and Material Analysts to align capacity with demand.

The role requires 3–5 years of planning experience, CPIM certification is preferred, and strong communication with floor staff and management. This is an on-site position at our Durham, NC location.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of planning experience preferred.
• APICS CPIM certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Highly organized, open-minded & motivated self-starter.
• A high level of communication skills (verbal & written) is required.
• Hands-on approach to monitoring production processes vs. the SFS with floor-level interactions.
• Proactive problem solving to prevent shipment risks and keep commitments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Shop Floor Schedule (SFS) to achieve 90%+ on-time shipment to OCP.
• Drive accuracy of the SFS for a rolling 4-week period and optimize capacity.
• Create an SFS from MPS, material availability, labor capacity, and priorities.
• Maintain a clear view of plant demand/loading by Work Center in the IFS system.
• Monitor workflow and plant areas to ensure on-time delivery and reduce downtime.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering to update templates and improve estimates.
• Load new SOs based on open capacity and balance Work Center loading.
• Provide kitting paperwork and manage BOM changes affecting manufacturing.
• Proactively communicate during under/over load situations to adjust schedules.
• Maintain KPIs for Shop Order and Shop Operation on-time completion.
