Job summary

PowerSecure is seeking a Production Scheduler to plan, organize, and maintain the Shop Floor Schedule. The role collaborates with Master Scheduler to balance capacity and meet customer promise. Responsibilities include monitoring loading by Work Center and ensuring on-time ship dates across shop operations.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years planning experience, APICS CPIM certification is preferred or willingness to obtain, and strong communication in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of planning experience preferred.
• CPIM certification is preferred or willing to obtain.
• Highly organized, open-minded & motivated self-starter.
• A high level of communication skills (verbal & written).
• Hands-on approach to monitoring production vs. SFS.
• Ability to report findings and KPI’s to Production Control Manager.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Shop Floor Schedule (SFS) to achieve 90%+ on-time shipment.
• Drive accuracy of the SFS for a rolling 4-week time horizon and match capacity.
• Develop an SFS that sequences shop operations based on MPS, materials, labor, and priority.
• Maintain view of plant demand/loading by Work Center using current routings.
• Monitor workflow to ensure on-time delivery while reducing downtime and changes.
• Coordinate with Work Center leads and Manufacturing Engineering to reflect accurate hours.
• Load new SOs based on open capacity; supply required paperwork (Kitting).
• Identify BOM revisions impacting manufacturing and communicate changes.
