Job summary

PowerSecure, Inc. is seeking a Production Scheduler responsible for planning, organizing, and maintaining the Shop Floor Schedule (SFS) to meet Original Customer Promise. This role works with MPS, materials, and labor to optimize capacity and reduce downtime.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree (preferred), 3–5 years planning experience (preferred), and APICS CPIM certification (preferred or willing to obtain). Strong communication and a hands-on approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of planning experience preferred.
• APICS CPIM certification preferred or willing to obtain.
• Highly-organized, open-minded & motivated self-starter.
• A high level of communication skills (verbal & written) is required.
• Hands-on approach to monitoring production processes vs. the SFS.
• Ability to report KPI’s to Production Control Manager.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Shop Floor Schedule (SFS) to achieve 90%+ on-time shipment.
• Drive high accuracy into the SFS for a rolling 4-week period.
• Develop an SFS based on inputs – MPS, material availability, labor capacity, and project priority.
• Maintain view of plant demand/loading by Work Center.
• Monitor workflow to ensure on-time delivery while reducing downtime.
• Coordinate with Work Center leads and Manufacturing Engineering on routings estimates.
• Develop work processes to utilize IFS for scheduling.
• Provide work bills and paperwork required to complete scheduled work (Kitting).
• Identify and deliver revisions to Bills of Materials impacting manufacturing.
• Communicate proactively during under/over load to adjust schedules to maintain on-time performance.
• Maintain KPIs for Shop Order and Shop Operation on-time completion.
• Additional responsibilities may be added as needed.
