Job summary

Steel Warehouse in South Bend, AR is seeking a Scheduling Specialist to drive daily production planning and scheduling. You will manage resources, balance labor and machine capacity, and coordinate with Operations, Sales, and Production to meet customer deadlines and ensure profitable, on-time delivery.

The role requires strong ERP experience (INVEX or similar), Power BI analytics, and excellent cross-functional communication to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic steel manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in production scheduling or supply chain management.
• Strong understanding of workflow and order impact.
• Proficient in ERP systems and scheduling software.
• Experience generating reports with Power BI or similar.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and organize production activities in the ERP to meet deadlines.
• Analyze Power BI reports to forecast future production runs.
• Review customer orders for accuracy and feasibility.
• Act as liaison between Operations and Sales for smooth workflow.
• Coordinate with Production and Logistics for data transfer and dispatch.
• Balance overtime costs with customer service goals.
• Develop daily and weekly production schedules and targets.
• Balance labor and machine capacity to optimize throughput.
• Communicate with Sales about unexpected issues promptly.
• Develop and improve on-time delivery metrics for customers.
