Job summary

Steel & O'Brien Manufacturing in Arcade, NY is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate schedules, balance demand, and ensure materials and resources align for on-time delivery. You will collaborate with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to optimize production flow in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 3–5 years in production planning, strong Excel and ERP skills, and the ability to read drawings and BOMs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schedules, and BOMs.
• 3–5 years of production planning experience in manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules to meet demand while optimizing efficiency and costs.
• Review orders, contracts, drawings, and docs to determine production needs.
• Coordinate activities across departments and adjust schedules with changes.
• Partner with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to ensure smooth flow.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
