Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Production Scheduler for a growing manufacturing environment. This hands-on role coordinates with Sales, Production, Welders, and Leadership to schedule work orders, manage labor and materials, and keep shop-floor production moving on time.

You will monitor progress, identify bottlenecks, adjust schedules as priorities shift, and maintain accurate inventory and production records to support reliable customer delivery.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in production scheduling, coordination, or fabrication support.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with shop-floor planning.
  • Ability to schedule work orders and understand labor and material timelines.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP or production planning systems.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; able to report to leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage production schedules to support on-time delivery.
  • Review production orders with Sales to determine capacity and timing.
  • Schedule completion of work orders and coordinate shop-floor priorities.
  • Prepare and release job packets to production.
  • Coordinate job files for drafting and shop drawings.
  • Allocate labor, materials, and resources with production teams.
  • Monitor progress and adjust schedules as priorities shift.
  • Track inventory and material availability.
  • Identify gaps and bottlenecks and communicate solutions to leadership.
  • Maintain accurate production and inventory records.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve workflow and on-time delivery.

A growing manufacturing company is looking for a Production Scheduler to help keep shop-floor production moving efficiently and on schedule.

This is a hands-on role working closely with Sales, Production, Welders, and Leadership to schedule work orders, coordinate labor and materials, track inventory, identify potential bottlenecks, and communicate issues before they impact delivery.

What You'll Do
  • Create and manage production schedules to support on-time delivery
  • Review production orders with Sales and determine capacity and timing
  • Schedule completion of work orders and coordinate shop-floor priorities
  • Prepare and release job packets to production
  • Coordinate job files for drafting and shop drawings
  • Work with production teams to allocate labor, materials, and resources
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as priorities change
  • Track inventory and material availability
  • Identify scheduling gaps, bottlenecks, and potential delays
  • Communicate production status and issues to leadership
  • Maintain accurate production and inventory records
  • Collaborate across Sales, Production, and other departments to improve workflow and on-time delivery
  • Maintain a safety-first mindset throughout the production process
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of production scheduling, production coordination, or fabrication support experience
  • Manufacturing environment experience required
  • Experience scheduling work orders and shop-floor production
  • Strong understanding of labor, material, capacity, and production timelines
  • Experience using an ERP, MRP, or production planning system
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to identify problems and communicate solutions to leadership
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Business, or related field
  • Experience in a fabrication, welding, HVAC, industrial, or metal manufacturing environment
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP
  • 5+ years of production scheduling/planning experience
