Job summary

Global Power Components, located in Milwaukee, WI, seeks a Production Scheduler to create and manage the master schedule, ensuring alignment of manufacturing across departments. The role focuses on improving communication, increasing visibility of scheduling, and closely monitoring progress for timely delivery.

You will coordinate with Procurement, Quality, and Logistics to optimize material flow and capacities.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in production planning, scheduling, project management, or operations.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and Excel features (tables, filters, sorting); Smartsheet or Epicor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Compile information from various sources into a master schedule.
• Improve communication and scheduling processes to increase visibility for stakeholders on the plant floor.
• Track progress of work in the master schedule and report status.
• Coordinate flow of work and materials between departments.
• Evaluate make-to-stock inventory and its impact on downstream production.
• Closely track status on high-profile jobs to ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Quality, and Logistics to align production with material and capacity constraints.
• Perform administrative tasks as needed.
• Reports to Operations Manager within the Production Control team.
• Distill streams of information into actionable data for production supervisors.
• Collaborate effectively within a team of engineers and production personnel.
