Job summary

Nestlé Purina North America is seeking a Production Planning Coordinator to ensure materials and coordinated plans meet production needs. You will work with vendors, procurement, transportation, and warehouse teams to support reliable, cost-effective production, with primary focus on procurement while involving scheduling and master data maintenance.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, inventory and/or procurement.
• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Ability to coordinate with vendors and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement and replenishment of packaging materials to meet production schedules, monitoring material availability and following up with vendors on delivery commitments.
• Identify potential material shortages, communicate risks and coordinate actions with procurement, suppliers and internal teams to minimize production disruptions.
• Collaborate with Transportation and Warehouse teams to coordinate incoming shipments and align deliveries with production needs.
• Monitor inventory levels and analyze material usage to support material availability, inventory accuracy and waste reduction.
• Maintain material master data, including lead times, vendor information and safety stock parameters.
• Support the creation, monitoring and adjustment of production schedules using SAP and other digital tools, providing hands-on coverage as business needs require.
• Coordinate ordering and shipment requirements with other factories to support finished goods availability.
• Create and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) for finished goods produced within the factory.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve efficiency and strengthen planning processes.
• Cross-train and provide coverage across OPS Planning responsibilities, contributing beyond the primary procurement focus to support team priorities.
