Job summary

Nestlé S.A. is seeking a Production Planning Coordinator for the OPS Planning team to ensure material availability and coordinated production schedules.

You will work closely with vendors, procurement, transportation, and warehouses to support reliable, cost-effective production using SAP and other digital tools. You will be involved in procurement coordination, production scheduling, inventory management, and master data upkeep, with opportunities to reduce waste and improve planning efficiency

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, inventory and/or procurement in a manufacturing, warehouse, military or related environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement and replenishment of packaging materials to meet production schedules, monitoring material availability and following up with vendors on delivery commitments.
• Identify potential material shortages, communicate risks and coordinate actions with procurement, suppliers and internal teams to minimize production disruptions.
• Collaborate with Transportation and Warehouse teams to coordinate incoming shipments and align deliveries with production needs.
• Monitor inventory levels and analyze material usage to support material availability, inventory accuracy and waste reduction.
• Maintain material master data, including lead times, vendor information and safety stock parameters.
• Support the creation, monitoring and adjustment of production schedules using SAP and other digital tools, providing hands-on coverage as business needs require.
• Coordinate ordering and shipment requirements with other factories to support finished goods availability.
• Create and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) for finished goods produced within the factory.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve efficiency and strengthen planning processes.
• Cross-train and provide coverage across OPS Planning responsibilities, contributing beyond the primary procurement focus to support team priorities.
