Job summary

Nestlé Health Science is seeking a Materials Planning Specialist to order materials and balance orders to meet production schedules at the Bohemia, NY plant. You will coordinate with Planning, Procurement, and Vendors to ensure timely delivery and inventory health.

Requires a bachelor's in a related field and 4+ years in planning or procurement. MS Office proficiency and SAP experience are preferred. Onsite role with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Supply Chain, Engineering or Business Administration.
• 4+ years of relevant work experience in Production Planning, Supply Chain, Procurement and/or Project Management.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience using ERP systems in a CPG company (SAP preferred).

Responsibilities

• Order raw materials and packaging to support the detailed production plan while managing stock cover and working capital.
• Monitor material requirements and coordinate with suppliers to confirm delivery dates and quantities.
• Manage shortages and risk mitigation to prevent production disruptions.
• Maintain material master data and ensure lead times and inventory levels are accurate.
• Develop disposition and reduction plans for excess or obsolete inventory.
• Monitor KPIs like DIO, service level and material availability.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Supply & Demand Planning, Project Managers, Warehouse and 3PLs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the direct Manager.
