Job summary

HireReady Partners in Boonton, NJ is seeking a Planning Manager to oversee production planning, scheduling, materials planning, and inventory control to support manufacturing operations and customer requirements.

The role develops and maintains production plans aligning customer demand with manufacturing capacity and material availability, while ensuring cross-functional coordination with Production, Customer Service, and Inventory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of production planning, materials planning, inventory control, or supply chain experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in supervisory or management roles is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of planning, scheduling, and inventory management concepts.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems; JD Edwards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production plans aligning demand with capacity and materials.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities to meet production and customer commitments.
• Lead planning and inventory-related teams and drive continuous improvements.
• Maintain accuracy of planning data, BOMs, routings, and MOs.
• Monitor schedules, identify risks, and optimize inventory levels.
