Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Production Planner/Scheduler at the Rocket Center, WV site to plan, coordinate and control production schedules, ensuring material availability and timely manufacture of components for defense systems.

The role requires 4–6 years of related experience or a degree with experience; strong MS Office skills; knowledge of Costpoint, Cognos, Solumina and Microsoft Project; ability to work across functions and obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree with relevant work experience in production planning.
• MS Office proficiency required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules to meet requirements.
• Advises management on work status and material availability.
• Schedules equipment and personnel and prepares work orders.
• Coordinates interdepartmental activity with QA, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control.
• Collaborates with cross functional areas.
