Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree not required; related apprenticeship or military training accepted.
• Progression through NNPS or apprentice programs preferred.
• 2-year degree plus experience or 4 years non-exempt experience acceptable.
• Military paygrade E-5 or higher is advantageous.
• High school with extended shipbuilding and manufacturing experience is valued.
• Advanced seniority without a college degree may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules.
• Coordinates with material requirements to ensure smooth flow of parts.
• Advises management on status, availability and potential production issues.
• Schedules equipment and personnel and prepares work orders and purchase requests.
• Expedites movement of parts via move orders, transfers and shipping requests.

Education

NNS Apprentice School graduate

Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate

Associate's Degree or 2-year program + 2 years experience or 4 years non-exempt experience

Military Paygrade E-5 or above

High School/GED + 4 years manuf./shipbuilding/military experience (exempt)

High School/GED + 8 years manuf./shipbuilding/military experience (non-exempt)
