Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries (Ingalls Shipbuilding) is seeking a skilled Production Scheduler to plan and control production schedules to meet manufacturing requirements. The role involves coordinating with material requirements, tracking progress, and communicating status to leadership.

Required are a High School Diploma/GED with 7 years' experience or a Bachelor's Degree with 3 years' experience, and internal candidate provisions for journeyman experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 7 years' experience.
• Bachelor's Degree or above and 3 years' experience.
• Applicable to Internal Candidates Only - 18 months of experience as a Surveyor-Outside (P) or 1st Class Journeyman

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules.
• Coordinate with material requirements to ensure timely flow of approved materials.
• Advise management on status of work in progress, material availability and potential problems.
• Schedule equipment and personnel; prepare work orders or purchase requests based on a master production schedule.
