Job summary

HII's Newport News Shipbuilding division in Virginia plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules, coordinating with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production needs.

The role advises management on status of work in progress, material availability and potential production problems, coordinating with quality, manufacturing, purchasing and engineering to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent minimum.
• NNS Apprentice School graduate or NNPS graduate may qualify.
• Military Paygrade E-5 or above may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules.
• Advise management on work in progress, material availability and issues.
• Coordinate interdepartmental activity to ensure timely materials and shipping.
