Job summary

HII's Newport News Shipbuilding division seeks a qualified professional to plan, prepare, issue, and control production schedules, coordinating with material requirements to meet production timelines.

The role involves advising management on work-in-progress status, material availability, and potential production issues while coordinating with multiple departments to expedite part movement and fulfill master production schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of relevant exempt experience.
• Master's Degree with 4 years of relevant professional experience.
• NNS Apprentice School graduate
• NNPS graduate
• 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience (exempt)
• 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience (non-exempt)

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules and coordinate with material requirements to ensure timely material flow.
• Advise management on status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems.
• Coordinate interdepartmental activity and schedule/expedite movement of parts via move orders, stock transfers, and shipping requests.
