Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. in Goose Creek, SC, is seeking a Production Scheduler to plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules ensuring the timely flow of approved materials to meet production requirements.

You will advise management on work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems, coordinating with QA, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering and inventory control to optimize shop loading and delivery schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of exempt experience or a Master's Degree with 4 years of exempt experience.
• Equivalent to Bachelor's Degree: Associate's Degree with 2 years of exempt experience or 4 years non-exempt experience.
• Military Paygrade E-5 or above may meet minimum qualifications.
• High School/GED with 4 years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military experience.
• High School/GED with 8 years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military experience or other relevant exempt/non-exempt experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans and coordinates production schedules to meet production requirements and ensure timely flow of materials.
• Advise management on status of work in progress, material availability and potential production problems.
• Prepare work orders or purchase requests based on master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements.
• Coordinate interdepartmental activities with QA, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.

Associate's Degree or 2-year program + 2 years experience

Military Paygrade E-5 or above

High School/GED + 4 years experience (manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military)
