Job summary

OPW Propane Energy Solutions is seeking a Production Planner to align customer demand with manufacturing capacity and ensure the efficient flow of materials across operations. This role partners with Sales, Production, Operations, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to develop and execute production schedules that support delivery commitments while optimizing inventory levels.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5+ years in production planning or supply chain planning in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP, inventory control, and capacity planning.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and decision making.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute production schedules balancing demand, inventory, capacity, and materials.
• Create detailed weekly/daily production plans for assigned value streams.
• Monitor schedule attainment and recovery plans to meet delivery commitments.
• Prioritize and sequence orders to optimize flow and on-time delivery.
• Verify material availability and identify shortages or constraints.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Engineering, CS, and Operations to resolve issues.
• Manage MRP planning messages and reflect priorities across the plant.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels, including safety stock and WIP.
• Analyze forecast changes and demand signals to adjust schedules.
• Support new product introductions and changes through planning.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and work order integrity.
