OPW Propane Energy Solutions in Elon, NC is seeking a Production Planner who will align customer demand with manufacturing capacity to drive on-time delivery and optimized inventory. You will partner with Sales, Production, Operations, Supply Chain and Customer Service to develop and execute schedules across value streams.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in a related field and 5+ years in production planning, with strong MRP/ERP, Excel, and Lean knowledge.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in SCM or related field.
5+ years of production planning experience in manufacturing.
Strong MRP/ERP and inventory control knowledge.
Advanced Excel skills for data analysis.
Ability to interpret demand signals and capacity constraints.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Lean manufacturing knowledge and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain production schedules balancing demand, capacity, and materials.
Create weekly and daily production plans for value streams.
Monitor schedule attainment and implement recovery plans.
Prioritize and sequence orders to optimize flow.
Verify material availability and identify shortages.
Collaborate across Purchasing, Engineering, Customer Service, and Operations.
Manage MRP messages and reflect priorities.
Maintain inventory levels including safety stock.
Analyze forecast changes and recommend schedule adjustments.
Support new product introductions and engineering changes.
Track inventory accuracy and work order integrity.
Drive process improvements in planning and inventory.
Lead cross-functional value stream teams.
