Job summary

OPW, a global leader in fluid-handling solutions, is seeking a Production Planner in Elon, NC. The role aligns customer demand with manufacturing capacity, coordinating with Sales, Production, Operations, and Supply Chain to create schedules that optimize inventory and resources.

It requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and 5+ years of planning experience. You will monitor performance, adjust schedules as needed, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires five or more years in production planning, scheduling, inventory planning, or supply chain planning in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems, production planning principles, inventory control, and capacity planning.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and decision making.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration across functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute production schedules balancing demand, inventory, capacity, and materials.
• Create detailed weekly and daily production plans for assigned value streams.
• Monitor schedule attainment and drive recovery actions to meet delivery commitments.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, Customer Service, and Operations to resolve material and capacity issues.
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives in planning and inventory management.
