Job summary

OPW Propane Energy Solutions (PES) is seeking a Production Planner to align demand with manufacturing capacity and ensure efficient material flow across operations. You will develop schedules, monitor performance, and collaborate across Sales, Production, Operations, Supply Chain, and Customer Service.

Responsibilities include creating detailed plans, ensuring material readiness, optimizing inventory, and driving improvements for on-time delivery and schedule adherence in a high-mix

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5+ years in production planning, scheduling, inventory planning, or supply chain planning.
• Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and capacity planning.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and planning decisions.
• Excellent analytical and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute production schedules balancing demand, inventory, capacity, and materials.
• Create detailed weekly and daily production plans for assigned value streams.
• Monitor schedule attainment and production performance; implement recovery plans.
• Prioritize and sequence orders to optimize flow and on-time delivery.
• Verify material availability and identify shortages or constraints.
• Collaborate to resolve material, capacity, and scheduling issues.
• Manage MRP planning messages and reflect current business requirements.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels including safety stock and WIP.
• Analyze forecast changes, demand variability, and inventory trends for adjustments.
• Support new product introductions and engineering changes through planning.
