Job summary

PROENERGY is seeking a Production Planner to own end-to-end scheduling for an assigned scope, surface risks early, and ensure accurate data and on-time delivery. The role acts as the single accountable owner for the health of every work order, from release to close, while aligning priorities and resources with defined rules.

The planner will work with VP Production Planning & CI and will be based at the Houston site, contributing to continuous improvement and ERP-related enhancements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years in production planning, production control, or manufacturing coordination.
• Strong Excel proficiency; comfort with shop travelers, routings, and bills of material.
• Organized, detail-driven, and able to communicate across functions; willing to become a system power user.
• Must be fluent in English with strong speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension.
• US work authorization is a precondition of employment; no sponsorship.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and track assigned scope end-to-end; monitor work orders through all operations.
• Surface and elevate risk early; resolve capacity conflicts using defined escalation process.
• Manage nonconformance and rework flow with quality and engineering.
• Work planning exception queue daily; reschedule, expedite, or defer with documented reasons.
• Own master data quality; validate item masters, BOMs, and routing steps.
• Maintain transaction discipline; ensure material issues and status updates are timely.
• Provide reliable status to operations, supply chain, and stakeholders with system truth.
• Support capacity analysis and ERP implementation; refine standard planning work.
• Partner with production supervision, engineering, quality, and supply chain.
• Contribute to continuous improvement through standard work.
