Job summary

Mason designs, manufactures, and markets highly engineered aerospace and defense products and subsystems. The Production Control Coordinator will supervise with management guidance, coordinating MRP-driven production plans and material flow to ensure on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include training, directing work, and continuous process improvement within a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent. BA/BS degree in business or technical field preferred.
• Minimum 5-7 years Material Control or related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of capacity planning tools and MRP.
• At least 1 year in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Plans production work orders based on MRP requirements and customers' specification.
• Reviews and releases work orders to production.
• Plans and reschedules open orders to support changes in MRP demand and capacity.
• Identifies shortages and follows up with the buyer or planner.
• Communicates foreseeable issues to management.
• Investigates and resolves issues related to past due shipments and material shortages.
• Maintains accuracy of the MRP database and inventory.
• Participates in lean initiatives (kanban, one-piece flow, inventory reduction).
• Coordinates with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery.
