Job summary

AST SpaceMobile seeks a Production Planner to drive manufacturing readiness by planning, coordinating, and optimizing production processes to meet schedule deadlines and company objectives. The role supports a fast-paced, high-tech environment in Michigan.

You will develop schedules, manage MBOM with Manufacturing Engineering, and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to resolve shortages and align priorities. Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in production planning, manufacturing operations, or supply chain.
• Experience with MBOM and production scheduling methodologies.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional relationships across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for planning, scheduling, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and communicate production and kitting schedules across manufacturing and supply chain teams.
• Define and manage MBOM with Manufacturing Engineering ensuring accuracy and updates.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain to align priorities and plan production paths.
• Partner with Supply Planning to identify and resolve material shortages.
• Coordinate activities across cross-functional teams to meet targets and deadlines.
• Monitor progress and communicate schedule risks and critical path issues to stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning processes to boost efficiency and execution.
