Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Production Planner and Scheduler in Woodland Hills, CA to join a dynamic team focused on delivering secure, mission-critical systems. The role partners with engineering, program management, supply chain and manufacturing to develop and maintain schedules, analyze capacity, and foresee risks to ensure customer delivery commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in a related field; 2+ years of production planning/master scheduling experience, or 6+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel; familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and BOMs, MOs and routings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering, program management, supply chain, manufacturing, quality and test to build and maintain execution plans with on-time delivery.
• Use automated planning software for schedule analysis, critical path, risk assessments and health metrics.
• Create summary and detailed program/project schedules using automated planning tools.
• Conduct capacity vs. demand analysis and communicate constraints to scheduling and operations teams.
• Identify constraints impeding critical path flow and advise management on work in progress and material availability.
• Maintain daily visual boards to mitigate risks of near-term and long-term delivery misses.
