Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Production Planner and Scheduler for a full-time role in Woodland Hills, CA. The role partners with engineering, program management, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to develop and maintain execution plans to meet milestones and delivery dates.

The candidate will analyze capacity, perform schedule risk analyses, and use Dynafact Master Scheduling tools to optimize production. US citizenship is required for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in Production Planning and/or Master Scheduling in a manufacturing environment, or a Master’s degree.
• 6 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• MS Office, especially Excel, is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering, program management, supply chain, manufacturing, quality and test to build and maintain execution plans meeting internal milestones and on-time delivery.
• Use automated planning software to perform schedule analysis, critical path analysis, risk assessments and schedule health metrics.
• Create summary and detailed program/project network schedules using automated planning tools.
• Perform capacity versus demand analyses and communicate constraints to scheduling and operations teams.
• Identify and communicate constraints impeding critical path flow across departments.
• Advise Management on work in progress, material availability and potential production issues.
