Job summary

Abcam, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Senior Production Planner in Waltham, MA to develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules ensuring optimal use of materials, labor, and equipment to meet demand and inventory targets.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvements to support on‑time delivery and overall supply chain excellence, with a remote work arrangement available for eligible roles.

Qualifications

• Degree or masters in related discipline.
• 5 years’ experience in production and material planning.
• Experience using ERP planning aspects of SAP or Oracle and making recommendations on changing planning attributes to improve supply.
• Excellent data analytical and presentation skills.
• Experience meeting tight deadlines, prioritizing tasks and multi‑tasking to achieve results.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain efficient production schedules that balance customer demand with material availability, labor capacity, and equipment utilization to achieve service, inventory, and operational goals.
• Proactively manage and adjust production plans within Oracle to respond to changing business conditions, minimizing risk to customer commitments and overall business performance.
• Create, analyze, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure planning effectiveness, identify trends, and support data-driven decision‑making.
• Lead root cause investigations for planning, supply, and production challenges, implementing sustainable corrective actions that improve performance and operational reliability.
• Drive and support cross‑functional projects focused on process improvement, system optimization, capacity enhancement, and overall supply chain excellence.
