Job summary

Abcam, a Danaher operating company, invites you to join our Inventory and Production Planning team in Waltham, MA as an Inventory Specialist. You will manage raw materials and consumables, perform cycle counts, receive and store supplies, and support stock accuracy in a fast-paced lab environment on-site.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in inventory control, strong Excel skills, and experience in cycle counting and reconciliation. Oracle experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years in inventory control, materials management, supply chain, or related operations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, pivot tables, and data visualization.
• Inventory management expertise with cycle counting, stock accuracy, and inventory reconciliation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities focused on identifying root causes, resolving discrepancies, and driving corrective actions.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with experience collaborating across production, warehouse, and supply chain teams while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cycle counting on raw materials, consumables, and bulk product in a laboratory setting, including cold storage.
• Receive and put away materials in the assigned locations.
• Follow up on items requiring stock adjustment and ensure actions are completed and properly recorded in our inventory system.
• Collect and analyze data to drive improvement in process.
• Collect and stage material as well as capping.
