Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. is seeking a Production Planner II for our Savannah Machinery Works location in Pooler, GA. The role focuses on coordinating the production process to meet contractual requirements and lead times, ensuring on-time project completion.

You will read schedules, create and release work orders, manage shop floor scheduling, and collaborate with purchasing to expedite materials while resolving scheduling issues with production management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Forklift and overhead crane operation certificates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Create work orders and schedule their releases to designated work centres.
• Perform scheduling of released orders in the shop floor control system and manage WIP.
• Coordinate with purchasing to expedite late materials affecting schedule and deliveries.
• Communicate priorities for outsourced production and coordinate final shipment activities.
