Job summary

Mitsubishi Power is seeking a Production Planner for the Orlando Manufacturing Center to coordinate the production process and ensure on-time project completion based on contractual requirements and lead-times. The role involves reading schedules, creating and releasing work orders, tracking WIP, coordinating with purchasing and shipping, and reporting anticipated problems to management.

A high school diploma with at least three years of related experience, plus forklift and overhead crane

Qualifications

• High school diploma and at least three years related experience or training; forklift and overhead crane certificates.
• Ability to read, interpret, and write routine reports and correspondence.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
• Basic PC skills including email, word processing, spreadsheets, and ERP/BOM familiarity.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Read production schedules, customer orders, and requisitions to determine items to move or distribute.
• Create and release work orders to designated work centers.
• Schedule released orders in the shop floor control system and manage work-in-process (WIP).
• Coordinate with purchasing and inventory control to expedite late material as needed.
• Communicate program priorities for outsourced production and coordinate final shipment with shipping personnel.
• Advise supervisors of anticipated problems, material shortages, and equipment failures; propose corrective actions.
