Job summary

MSA Safety is seeking a Production Planner to drive integrated planning across manufacturing lines using SAP and ERP systems. The role emphasizes data-driven prioritization of workloads, accurate MRP signaling, and close collaboration with product development and customer service to meet internal and external commitments.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in production planning, experience with SAP PP/PMC modules, and familiarity with Power BI or BW for reporting, ensuring master data integrity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a supply chain, business, or logistics related field.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain production plans using ERP reports and planned orders.
• Maintain production orders to provide accurate MRP signals.
• Use SAP demand signals to understand workload per line and support capacity planning.
• Prioritize lines using SAP exception messaging to adjust schedules.
• Collaborate with NPD project teams on master data setup and scheduling beta builds.
• Communicate production schedule changes to line managers and customer service.
• Maintain SAP master data including lead times, MRP settings, and material views.
• Identify root causes via the continuous improvement system and drive corrective actions.
