Job summary

The Planner at Parker Hannifin in North Haven, CT supports APBU production execution by reviewing backlog, releasing work orders, and monitoring material and capacity to meet customer commitments.

This role requires strong analytical ability, expert Excel skills, and proficiency with MRP and Parker tools like eCapacity and eProcurement. You will collaborate with Operations, Materials, Procurement, Customer Service, Quality and other teams to drive schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, supply chain, operations, engineering, or related field.
• 1–3 years of planning, scheduling, inventory control, production control, or materials management preferred.
• Strong understanding of MRP, ERP, production planning, and work order processes.
• Advanced Excel skills with ability to analyze and interpret planning data.
• Experience using Parker tools such as eCapacity and eProcurement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review daily backlog reports to evaluate job starts and production priorities.
• Release and maintain work orders to the shop floor on a daily basis.
• Monitor material availability, capacity constraints, and production readiness.
• Read, interpret, and act upon MRP signals to support planning decisions.
• Use Parker tools like eCapacity and eProcurement to support capacity planning.
• Conduct regular Gemba walks to identify bottlenecks and support timely resolution.
• Communicate risks, schedule changes, and shortages to management clearly.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Materials, Procurement, and Customer Service.
• Engage with Parker locations globally to coordinate customer requirements and delivery timing.
• Maintain planning data and generate reports for visibility into backlog and resources.
• Contribute to Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
